TERRACE HOUSE

The building was intended to be an above-standard family house in design and size which resulted from the emphasis on the family time spent together; the intention on which we agreed with the client at the first meeting. We connected the generous common space with separate small “kingdoms” of each family member and created a sufficient background for their comfort and the overall sports character of the family.

Location is always a crucial aspect of the design in our work. We generally perceive all the surrounding influences as a challenge, and it is our task and fun to transform them into strong points of the design. At the same time, if there is a possibility, it is the best if the architect can be invited when choosing the estate, so he can analyse the pros and cons of the selected plot for the client which happened here.

We always deal with the views and the integration of the house into the surroundings. Despite the larger size, the house did not have to draw special attention, despite its relatively exposed location, it also should have had its own world for its inhabitants.
